How to install the Hinterview Chrome Extension

Speed is an important element in recruitment. The Hinterview Chrome Extension helps improve your workflow, by streamlining tasks and improving your video recruitment efficiency. In other words, Hinterview meets you where you need it. Whether you want to film a video while on LinkedIn or even your favourite news outlet, you can! The use cases are endless, but let's get started with the basics.

What you can expect once you download: 

• Record - No need to swap between browser pages! The extension follows you wherever you are, allowing a screen record with just a few clicks. 
• Easy Access - Your integration will be right with you, as you open Chrome for easy and quick access. 
• Hintro Library - Quick access to your recently recorded Hintros to share on your favourite channels. 
• Improved Functionality - A countdown animation and pause function has been added to your Hintro player, to help make your recording process smoother. 

How to install the Hinterview Chrome extension in just a few clicks.  

1. You can access the Chrome Extension either by clicking the banner on the homepage of the Hinterview web app, or by going to Settings > Integrations. Once in the Chrome web store select Add to Chrome. 
   
   
    
    

2. Once you’ve selected to ‘Add Extension,’ you’ll be prompted to sign-in (if you’re not already). Use your usual Hinterview login for this.

3. The Hinterview extension will appear next to your URL bar, as shown below. 

4. That's it. You're ready to use all of the Hintro functionalities from within your Google Chrome Extension.  

Not seeing your Hinterview Chrome extension on the URL bar? You need to bookmark it. Here’s how. 

• Click the puzzle icon on the URL bar.  
• Find the Hinterview logo and press the pin icon. This will move your Hinterview extension to your Chrome taskbar for easy future access.  
  
  

*The extension is compatible with Chromium based browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge 

Not a current Hinterview user?

The Hinterview Chrome extension can only be accessed by current Hinterview customers. This means that the extension cannot be found in the Chrome web store and can only be accessed through an exclusive link.
