In this Policy the following terms shall have the following meanings:

2.1. This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the agreement between you and us concerning the use of the Site(s), and concerning users of the Platform. The other integral parts of such agreement are the Terms of Service and any other legal notices that may be provided by Hinterview. This policy explains who we are, why and how we process personal data and, if you are the subject of any of the personal data concerned, what rights you have and how to get in touch with us if you need to.

2.2. We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time, for any reason. The date of the last revision to the Privacy Policy will be indicated by the “Last updated” date at the beginning of this page.

2.3. For users of the Platform, usage terms (and some additional information regarding how your data will be processed, the terms set out here apply.

3. The Data We Collect

You are a customer or a supplier of ours (or are interested in becoming so).

You work for a customer or a supplier of ours, or for someone who uses our products or services.

4. What We Do With the Data We Collect

We may keep your personal data for up to 12 months or (if you have an account with us) for the life of that account (or as long as we are legally required to do so).

5. Third Party Sites and Services

5.1 In order to operate the Site and Platform and deliver you any services we agree to provide to you (such as access to the Platform) we may share your data with appropriate third parties including business partners, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into or other dealings we have in the normal course of business with you or the person that you work for, as well as our auditors, legal advisors and other professional advisors or service providers such as analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our Site and subject to the cookie section of this policy.

5.2 Any third party getting data from us uses it only to the extent they need by them to do what we have asked them to do. Any use for other purposes is strictly prohibited. Any personal data that is processed by any third party will be processed strictly within the terms of this Policy and in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and national law implementing and supplementing it.

6. Links to Other Sites

6.1. If we provide links to other sites on our Site or within the Platform please note that we have no control over those sites and cannot be responsible for their content. Our Policy does not apply when you use a link we provide. You should always read the privacy policy of any other sites prior to using.

7. Changes of Business Ownership and Control

7.1. From time to time our business will change and this may involve us selling some or part of our Company. The personal data you give us will, if it is appropriate, be transferred to any new owner but always under the terms of this Policy and they will only be allowed to use that data for the same purposes for which you supplied it to us.

7.2. Because of the number of users of our site and the Platform we won’t contact you in advance of any transfer.

8. Legal Basis for Data Processing

8.1. The legal basis on which we process your personal data is as follows:

Where it is necessary to obtain your prior consent to the processing concerned in order for us to tbe allowed to do it (for example, direct marketing activities), we will obtain and rely on your consent in relation to the processing concerned (see Your Rights below).

Otherwise, we will process your personal data only where the processing is necessary:

for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into such a contract;

9. Location of Processing

9.1. The data that we process in relation to you may be transferred to and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) that may not be subject to equivalent data protection law. It may also be processed by staff situated outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. This includes staff engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of orders, the processing of payment details and the provision of support services.

9.2. Where personal data is transferred in relation to providing our services we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that it is subject to appropriate safeguards, such as relying on a recognised legal adequacy mechanism which may include by entering into EC approved standard contractual clauses relevant to transfers of personal information (see Justice and Fundamental Rights) and that it is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

9.3. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. All personal data processed by us is stored on secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using appropriate technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website or systems, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

9.4. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of your data transmitted to our website and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Where we are processing personal data relating to you on the basis of your prior consent to that processing, you may withdraw your consent to processing, after which we shall stop the processing concerned
